Terms of Service

Last updated 10 July 2026

These terms govern your use of The Daily Profit, a Shopify app operated by Considered Code Pty Ltd ("we", "us"). They are written in plain English on purpose. By installing or using the app, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of terms

Installing The Daily Profit from the Shopify App Store, or otherwise using the service, means you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.

2. Who can use the app

The Daily Profit is for merchants operating a Shopify store. You must have a valid Shopify account in good standing and be legally able to enter into this agreement. The app is a business tool and is not directed at consumers or children.

3. Your responsibilities as a merchant

You are responsible for your store, your data, and the settings you provide. In particular:

4. Account connections and permissions

The app requests only the Shopify permissions it needs to read orders, products, and related data. If you choose, you can also grant it read-only access to advertising and other business platforms you connect — currently Google Ads and Meta Ads, with further platforms added over time. You can disconnect any connected platform at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app revokes its Shopify access.

5. Accuracy and the nature of the numbers

The Daily Profit reports what happened to your money based on the data available to it and the settings you provide. It does not forecast, attribute, or guess.

The accuracy of your P&L therefore depends on the accuracy and completeness of the underlying data: what Shopify records, what connected platforms report, and what you enter. If a cost is missing or out of date, the number will reflect that.

The Daily Profit is designed to help merchants understand their store performance. It is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You remain responsible for verifying numbers before making business, tax, accounting, or financial decisions.

6. Plans, pricing, and billing

The Daily Profit offers a free plan and a paid plan. The current features of each plan are described at thedailyprofit.co/#pricing. The following principles apply to our pricing regardless of how the plans evolve:

7. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. In particular, don't attempt to access other merchants' data, reverse-engineer, resell, or interfere with the app, use it for unlawful purposes, or overload it with automated traffic. We may suspend accounts that do.

8. Third-party services

The Daily Profit depends on third-party services — Shopify, and any advertising or business platforms you choose to connect. We are not responsible for those platforms' availability, data accuracy, or changes to their APIs. If a platform changes or removes access we rely on, some features may be limited or unavailable while we adapt.

9. Data

How we collect, use, retain, and delete data — including what happens on uninstall and how to request deletion — is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we use your data only to provide the app, we don't sell it, and you can have it deleted.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss — including lost profits, lost revenue, or business decisions made in reliance on the app's reporting. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or — where the law allows us to limit remedies for services — to re-supplying the service.

13. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) survive termination.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
